Asprey Studio is delighted to launch The Asprey Studio Gallery, a multi-purpose gallery space that will host exhibitions and showcase Asprey Studio creations. Founded in 2022, Asprey Studio creates unique artworks which make use of innovative and groundbreaking production techniques. Through the deployment of generative art and blockchain technologies, these physical pieces are then linked to a digital twin.
Located on the second floor of the Asprey London flagship store in Mayfair, the Gallery’s primary focus will be on creating a new way to exhibit, release and purchase artworks. In a recent pioneering collaboration with Bugatti, the Studio designed one hundred and eleven precious metal eggs linked to generative art in Bitcoin. The release showcases not only the art of coding, but also creates a new form of art expression that bridges physical and digital creations.
Ali Walker, Chief Creative Officer at Asprey Studio said: “The Asprey Studio is on the pinnacle of innovation.
The gallery will exhibit our works and provide a stunning space to educate, exhibit and work with artists that share a similar outlook. The future is not only in the physical piece but in a digital artifact.”
The state-of-the-art space will highlight the Studio’s work to a range of audiences, from the Asprey Studio members club to those who are new to digital collecting and will enable all to explore exhibits, assisted by Asprey’s signature impeccable service.
John Rigas, Chairman of Asprey International Limited said: “We are delighted to launch the Asprey Studio
Gallery as it will allow us to showcase the work of many of the artists and artisans we collaborate with in a contemporary gallery environment within our flagship store. It will allow our clients to see and understand a part of Asprey that has always been behind the curtain. Artistic focus in creation has always been a core value of Asprey, and it will now be on full display.’”
The Gallery’s inaugural exhibition will display Ryan Barrett’s stunning collection of ceramic sculptures created using VR, a self-built digital coiling machine and accompanying artwork, in parallel with The Asprey Bugatti Egg Collection, a display of precious metal and jeweled objects.
The Asprey Studio Gallery will hold many events throughout the year, for both club members and the general public. The space is open to all and features a small gallery café and dedicated concierge.
